MIAMI - April 25, 2022 - PRLog -- Prolific artist Elizabeth Erazo Baez donated the painting "Aspirantes" to ASPIRA of New York for the 61st Annual Circle of Achievers Event, April 12, 2022, raising over $1 million to support ASPIRA's programs and scholarships for youth. The painting was awarded to Scott Krohn, Treasurer, Verizon, in appreciation for the longtime corporate support of ASPIRA of New York. The 2022 "Aspirante" Circle of Achiever's Award was given to actor Luis Guzman.

"It has been a pleasure to witness the impact of ASPIRA on the youth participating in the programs throughout the years. I have supported and worked with the organization since 2014, and I am happy the Aspirantes painting is at home with a supporter of ASPIRA," declared Baez.

The artwork "Aspirantes" is an acrylic on canvas featuring the small Pitirre bird in its wildlife habitat on the island of Puerto Rico encased in vibrant hues of blues and greens. The Pitirre is ASPIRA's logo, symbolizing that even the smallest creature has the power to create change. This is the third painting since 2014 that Baez has donated to ASPIRA in support of their fundraising efforts.

Baez adds another accomplishment to her impressive body of work and roster of recognitions and awards. Baez recently donated a painting to the National Conference of Puerto Rican Women, Inc., Miami Chapter for the 45th Anniversary Celebration raising scholarship funds for women, and for Women's History Month she was one of twenty-six notable women selected as a "Woman Who Leads Across Generations" by Buena Vida Media.

Noted for her philanthropic work and commitment to the global advancement of Hispanic and Puerto Rican art, Baez has donated works of art for numerous scholarship fundraisers for Latino youth and women. Her art is part of the art collection at Bay Path University, and it was on exhibit at the Harlem Fine Art Show Virtual Art Exhibition from February to July 2021; she was a nominee for "100 Top Puerto Ricans in the USA" by New York Hunter College Center for Puerto Rican Studies, and she curated the Broward College Annual Hispanic Heritage Group Art Exhibits for 16 years. Baez continues her work in the classroom teaching children to love and appreciate art. Baez will be present at the EXPOLIT Conference, the most important conference for Spanish language Christian literature, music and media in the world, May 18-21 in Miami, FL for a "Meet the Artist" event at the Buena Vida Media booth.
