Model Brana Dane in a Limited Collaboration with Bag Brand Stacy Kessler

BRIDGEHAMPTON, N.Y. - April 8, 2022 - PRLog -- In a series of three hand-painted pieces, model Brana Dane expresses her unique artistic viewpoint with an uncharacteristic kitschy flare. As an artist, Dane has had her works exhibited in multiple galleries including 3Squared, the Caelum Gallery, the Tribeca Art Factory and the Greenpoint Gallery. This is her first "art meets fashion" collaboration.

Three unique designs are hand-painted onto the classic vegan and sustainable Stacy Kessler clutch, in collaboration with the brand. Symbolism is used to create a story thread between all three original pieces. For the first piece, the snake represents life force and the stars represent divine guidance. The second piece's bright and broken colors represent the vitality of Spring as well as the fragility of new life. The final bag echos the layout of the first with a central figure and stars. The coy fish represents the harmony of yin and yang as well as the balance of the chaotic forces of nature with the rebirth of order that occurs every Spring.

Dane's work is inspired by the conflict inherent in the dependency of the individual on society and society on nature. These are some recurring themes in her art, which have undoubtedly been informed by her work as an activist. The expression of these ideas are notably seen in this collaboration as well.
