Charity Golf Classic Scheduled May 5 at Verandah
Proceeds Benefit Goodwill Programs and Services for People with Disabilities
By: Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida
"We invite players to enjoy a top-notch area golf course while also supporting our mission of helping more than 23,000 individuals annually in Southwest Florida improve their lives," said John Nadeau, Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida CEO/President.
Players will tee off at 8:30 a.m. on Whispering Oak, the 18-hole course designed by Jack Nicklaus & Jack Nicklaus II. This course provides a breathtaking yet challenging opportunity that will inspire all golfers to play like a champion. After golfing, a BBQ lunch will be provided and trophies will be awarded. The top prize will be a Golf Vacation to play at Pebble Beach, including airfare, hotel and golf accommodations, worth over $9,000 — to win, a player must score a Hole-in-One on the designated hole during the tournament.
Dozens of other prizes will be available through course contests and raffles. Cost is $125 per player or $500 per foursome. A limited number of event sponsorships are available, including hole sponsorship ($300).
