Afro Diamond Re-releases Her Classic Album 'The Journey'

PARIS - April 3, 2022 - PRLog -- Afro Diamond was born in Paris, France. She started playing the piano at age 5. Encouraged by her father, by age 12, she began writing and composing her own music while discovering her unique singing voice. She took the stage for the first time two years later and this is how the beautiful journey begun. Afro Diamond has toured extensively in Europe, opening for such international jazz luminaire Manu Dibango. Her music reflects a wide range of influences - from Soul to Blues to Gospel - but always with that distinctive Afro Diamond stamp. With a voice both powerful and emotive, she connects with audiences around the world, sharing her joyous musical message of love and hope

Since she was young, we knew that Afro Diamond had a special voice. Originating with Douala, Cameroonian heritage, we can feel the African spirit in her sound, in her way of singing, of moving, of thinking. She's also influenced by artists such as Marvin Gaye, Whitney Houston and Des'Ree. All this mixture of cultures combined with a unique voice caused her to create what she likes calling the "Afro Soul" sound that she has today.

Afro Diamond has re-released her album 'The Journey'. The 10 track album sounds like a classic. Standout tracks are 'It Ain't Alright', 'Who's She' and 'What's Going On (Alternative title: What's Goin'on'). The album is now available on all streaming platforms.

This album is important to me for many reasons. It was recorded over the span of two years, and it took that long because I was going through so much personal change in my life. I wanted the music to reflect where I was at mentally, emotionally, and spiritually when it came out. And I'm really proud of how it turned out!

There's something for everyone on this record – from soulful ballads to upbeat anthems  – so hopefully everyone can find a song or two they can connect with on a deeper level. My hope is that this album will inspire people to keep fighting even when things seem tough and remind them that there is always light at the end of the tunnel."
