Virtual Assistant - Siri, Google Assistant and Bixby

YEREVAN, Armenia - March 31, 2022 - PRLog -- Siri, Google Assistant, or Bixby? Which one is the best? Well, it's difficult to give an exact answer as they all are the most popular voice assistants in the market.

Obviously, all three assistants can do the basic tasks fine, including setting alarms and reminders, turning on Bluetooth, or checking weather and time. However, each of them has its strengths and unique aspects.

Let us see how Siri, Google Assistant, and Bixby differ from one another.

Siri

Siri is the first modern digital virtual assistant installed on a smartphone, which was introduced as a feature of the iPhone 4S on 4 October 2011.

Apple's voice assistant helps with a variety of tasks. These include looking up information, sending messages, making calls, playing music, navigating while driving, making reservations, and much more.

You can use Siri on all Apple's devices, including iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple Watch, Apple TV (generation 4), and your Mac.

One of the disadvantages of Siri is that it won't work without an active internet connection. So, you can't use it when you are offline.

Google Assistant

Google Assistant is Google's voice assistant. It was first unveiled at the 2016 Google I/O developer conference in May 2016.

The Assistant is focused more on the user's queries. It is most importantly a replacement for physically typing your search queries and getting search results.

With Google Assistant you can:

• get real-time answers (including the latest on weather, traffic, finance, or sports. You can even check your flight status).
• manage tasks: check your agenda, set a reminder, send or read messages by voice, take photos, or a selfie.
• control your smart home devices. Play your favorite media, adjust the temperature, lighting, and more.

Bixby

Bixby was first introduced during the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2017 event, which was held on 29 March 2017.

It works with all Samsung apps and several third-party apps, including Instagram, Gmail, Facebook, and YouTube.

Samsung's digital assistant is basically designed to simplify the way you use your smartphone. Bixby is mostly focused on helping you use your device hands-free.

Samsung's voice assistant is fluent in six languages: American/British English, Korean, Chinese, Spanish, German, French, Italian, and Spanish.

Samsung has also integrated Bixby into other devices, including its latest smart TV models and smart refrigerators, enabling users to expand their hands-free usage of the smart assistant.

It's worth noting that Siri often tends to react quickly, while Bixby needs more time when compared with Apple's voice assistant.
