Jim Algar releases LP Charleston Changes with single 'Chucktown Blues'

New Charleston Music Sound created by Magus Productions Studio

CHARLESTON, S.C. - March 26, 2022 - PRLog -- Working with Magus Productions Studio in Mt. Pleasant, Jim Algar recorded a new digital LP, Charleston Changes. He is releasing the lead single, 'Chucktown Blues' with his brother, Whitt, singing back-up vocals, Charles Parks composing the melody and Bryan Minton producing.

Jim is well-known in the Charleston music scene after twenty years of performing solo, as a duo wth Whitt, and together in three different bands.  Low country music reviewers have given Jim the title, "Charleston's Most Versatile Musician" because of his ability to play multiple instruments. He is a favorite at music events like Spotelo where he performed to a sell-out crowd.

"I enjoyed recording Chucktown Blues," says Jim, "it shows Charleston is a city that folks want to call home. I'm happy to be back after years of touring. The LP captures several aspects of life in Charleston - from the beaches to the battery. I think we did justice to this remarkable city."

Jim worked with songwriter, Georgie Rhein, to help perfect the lyrics in Charleston Changes.  You can download the tunes on any of the streaming platforms, or listen to it
at the Magus Productions blog page, magusproductions.studio/blog.

On March 29th, Magus Productions will be releasing the lyric video of 'Chucktown Blues.'
