Residents are expected to start occupying the village in March. Bradly Brown, who will be living in one of the comfortable shelters and had the opportunity to visit the village, described it as "a sizeable private room, accompanied by daily, hot meals, case management as needed and other city-provided services." So far, of 25 planned housing units, 16 have been delivered and nine are installed. Working in conjunction with the City of Petaluma is the Mary Isaak Center and the COTS organization, who will be administering the village and have been identifying candidates for the units. (https://www.petaluma360.com/ There already is a waiting list compiled by COTS, with about 30 residents for the 25 units. Those with health vulnerabilities staying at an encampment near Steamer Landing Park will have top priority, according to village services manager Stacie Questoni. QuickHaven is nearing the finish line to deliver the remaining units, and will then turn its attention to a similar project being undertaken by the City of Portland, OR.
