BEDMINSTER, N.J. - Feb. 7, 2022 - PRLog -- The Board of Trustees of the Center for Contemporary Art ("The Center") in Bedminster, NJ is pleased to announce the appointment of Cyndi Wish as the organization's new Executive Director, succeeding Elie Porter Trubert, who will be stepping down in March after eleven years in the role.

Founded in 1970, The Center is committed to "provide a vibrant, contemporary cultural center through arts education, exhibitions and community outreach that will inspire creativity and enhance people's lives," and to developing and maintaining programs that create a vibrant regional hub for the arts.

Cyndi Wish began her career in non-profit administration working in fundraising for the New Jersey March of Dimes. Following her education, which includes a Master of Visual Arts degree from the University of Sydney, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Corcoran College of Art and Design, she embraced a curiosity about how the arts impact all of humanity. Wish's professional career in arts administration and education has taken her to positions throughout the country, including developing arts programming on Cape Cod, teaching art appreciation in the south Chicago suburbs, working on large scale events in San Francisco, leading an art park project in rural North Dakota, and directing an arts organization in Baltimore.

Wish is a practicing visual artist who works in printmaking, drawing, and collage. She has volunteered on Boards and civic committees including the Printmakers of Cape Cod, the Jamestown Downtown Association, Provincetown Cultural Council, and New Bedford Government Affairs Committee, among others.

A New Jersey native and proud graduate of the New Jersey Public School system, Wish is happy to be home again and living in Somerset County where she is working on renovating an old house with her husband and son. She enjoys cooking, reading, long-distance swimming and is currently training to do the Chesapeake Bay swim in 2025.

"We are excited to usher in a new chapter for The Center with Cyndi Wish at the helm," said Lisa Karbiner, President of the Board of Trustees. "Cyndi brings over 15 years of leadership experience in non-profit organizations and expertise in building successful, diverse, sustainable partnerships with community businesses and organizations.  I am confident her passion for the arts and dedication to innovative transformative art programming will elevate our pursuits in fulfilling our mission."

"I am humbled and honored to be appointed as the next Executive Director of The Center for Contemporary Art," said Wish. "It's going to be fun to work with the Board, staff, and community to build on the momentum of The Center and to add my skills, ideas, and passion to the mix. I'm excited for what we can accomplish together!"

The Center is located at 2020 Burnt Mills Road in Bedminster, NJ. https://ccabedminster.org/.
