PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - Nov. 16, 2021 - PRLog -- The Future of Education Technology® Conference (FETC®), an intensive, highly collaborative exploration of new technologies, best practices and pressing issues, announced today Primavera De Filippi, Faculty Associate of the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society at Harvard Law School, as the STEM keynoter of the 2022 event taking place January 25 - 28, 2022 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

De Filippi, permanent researcher at the National Center of Scientific Research (CNRS) and author of Blockchain and the Law, will discuss new opportunities provided by blockchain technology in the education sector in her keynote titled, Leveraging Blockchain in Education: Transparency, Accountability & Interoperability. The presentation will dive into her investigations into this new and exciting technology plus the implications it has on the future of education. Her keynote will also showcase a wide range of technological advancements that will evolve educational processes and credentialing in the next decade. Sharing emerging technologies with educational leaders will give them the insight to prepare their districts to implement transformative learning enabled by technology.

As an internationally recognized authority on blockchain technology and emerging digital technologies, De Filippi focuses on how blockchain technology can help achieve greater transparency and accountability for academic credentials, as well as increased interoperability among a variety of institutional credentials. In the long term, this could allow for more granular curricula, where people could aggregate multiple credentials into a wide range of ad-hoc diplomas, as opposed to a specific set of predefined diplomas delivered by a few recognized institutions.

"FETC is building knowledge in our participants to prepare for the future and understand new technologies impacting education," said Jennifer Womble, Program Chair for the Future of Education Technology Conference. "Primavera De Filippi will explain how the technology exists and why the future is promising with the positive impact that blockchains could have on education."

FETC will offer more than 400 sessions and workshops in 5 distinct tracks. FETC will also spotlight best-selling author and one of the world's leading experts on the connection between happiness and success, Shawn Achor, as the opening keynoter of the in-person event. In addition, the Expo Hall will host leading solution providers and give attendees the opportunity to get up close and personal with the most innovative technologies, applications and services available in ed tech today.

Registration for the 2022 Future of Education Technology Conference is open. Professionals can receive Early Bird Savings of $100.00 off the on-site rate when they register by December 17, 2021. For more information, visit www.FETC.org.
