MD Debates Messiah College Prof on out-of-context Bible to Oppose Vaccine

"It's true that people can read into the Bible what they want to see, and the history professor is an example of seeing nothing anti-vax, but here's a 2^nd opinion," says Richard Ruhling, a Christian physician who admits that all five texts with "physicians" have negative context.

1.     Joseph asked the physicians to embalm his father. Genesis 50:2 suggests they lost so many patients that they also did the embalming.

2.     Asa sought the physicians and not the Lord, 2Chronicles 16:12

3.     Job said his friends were "forgers of lies, you are all physicians of no value." Job 13:4

4.     "A woman with an issue of blood for 12 years suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was not bettered, but rather grew worse," Mark 5:25,26.

5.     Luke, the physician, also comments on this, Lk 8:43. It's relevant; some women after shot bleed.
