ATLANTA - Sept. 21, 2021 - PRLog -- Better Together and Light of the World Christian Tabernacle are partnering to host a community job fair for residents of the Stockbridge and greater Atlanta area on Thursday, Oct. 7.

The church-based job fair will connect job seekers with local employers who are ready to hire. Participating employers include Bird Staffing, Material in Motion, Uniform Advantage and WellCare Health Plans. Free one-on-one job coaching sessions are also available to job seekers to review resumes and interviewing skills.

The community job fair is part of Better Together's "Better Jobs" program, which has helped 34,000 applicants connect with employment opportunities across 20 states. At job fairs hosted by Better Together, two-thirds of attendees get a job interview, and one out of four receive a job offer on the spot.

"Jobs are critical right now, and our team is committed to finding solutions and restoring hope for those who are searching for employment," said Megan Rose, CEO of Better Together. "Churches across the country are stepping up as a beacon of hope through community job fairs, and we look forward to connecting more people with opportunities to provide for their families."

The Oct. 7 job fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Jimmie Lee Smith Community Center, located at 5883 Highway 155 North in Stockbridge. Job seekers can register at http://www.BetterTogetherUS.org/Events/Stockbridge-JF.
