There are certain situations where we don't know what to do and with this, we assume that the other people around us have more experience or knowledge about what can be done or what is going on.
For example, we assume that this product is great because a famous brand ambassador endorses it and there are a lot of likes and positive comments. Some examples are Expert's Approval, Celebrity Endorsement, Testimonials of Users, Business Credentials, Social Media Shares, Earned Media and many many more
