This first-of-its-kind imaging software merges optical coherence tomography (OCT) – an imaging tool that provides physicians a comprehensive view of the optical system– with the power of artificial intelligence (AI) for enhanced visualization. The AI can automatically detect the optical and facial features of humans to enhance monitoring of the vital signs that would otherwise indicate infection by an airborne disease.

Unlike traditional COVID testing methods such as the nasal swap, DOCSUN's OCT technology uses near-infrared light to provide high-definition, precise imaging from within the eye. The system is also available in a machine (the doorway terminal), mobile app, and web portal. This allows for easy access to people in remote areas some of who would otherwise have to walk for miles to get to a healthcare facility, people in quarantine who need to self-check and know their status, and public places for prevention when accessing the public facilities.
