Board Certified Urologist Dr. Diego Rubinowicz Is First in Palm Beach County to Utilize Soltive Laser System to Treat Urinary Stones
Soltive is a New Generation Laser that Breaks Up Kidney / Bladder Stones Faster and Into Smaller Fragments Compared to Traditional Laser Treatment
By: Urology Center of Palm Beach
The Soltive Laser System has US FDA 510(k) clearance and has been proven to generate finer particulate and dusted stones in half the time as a standard laser. According to Dr. Rubinowicz, the benefits to the patient include: a shorter procedure, easier and faster recovery, less cost because of shorter operating room time required, and less potential for complications. Candidates for the Soltive Laster System include anyone that has a stone in the kidney, urinary tract, or bladder.
"As the first physician to use this new technology here in Palm Beach County, I am thrilled to be at the forefront of this exciting new way to treat stones," added Dr. Rubinowicz. "The Soltive Laser System is silent, portable and user friendly, and performs wonderfully. With a completely different way of delivering the laser energy to the stone, we are now able to fragment stones very quickly and into much smaller pieces."
"Further, with Soltive, we may be able to treat bigger stones endoscopically, which means we can avoid having to access the kidney through an incision in the patient's back," Dr. Rubinowicz added.
