Air Force veteran releases the second installment of his military-based time travel series

"Operation Ameliorate: A Clio Project Story" aims to return a Civil War soldier to the era and love he misses

GREEN BAY, Wis. - April 7, 2021 - PRLog -- U.S. Air Force Sgt. Scott Rees resorts to his time traveling ways – this time intentionally – in a high-stakes effort to return an accidental travel companion to the Civil War life he knew in author Mark S. Roberts's latest thriller, "Operation Ameliorate: A Clio Project Story."

"Operation Ameliorate: A Clio Project Story"
is the follow-up to Roberts's popular debut release, The Clio Project: A Military Time Travel Story" (M&B Global Solutions Inc.). The stories follow Rees and his unit of Air Force security policemen, unwittingly used in a military experiment, as they struggle to return themselves and others to their rightful places in history.

The unit's return to the future in the first book did not come off without a hitch, as Corporal Andy O'Toole, a Civil War cavalryman, was an unwilling passenger. O'Toole has become frustrated by months spent in isolation as the Air Force ponders what to do with him, and he misses his former life and the woman he loves.

At the same time, Rees has tired of his own forced inactivity and devises a plan to return O'Toole to his proper timeline. He can count on Chief Master Sergeant Joseph Black, creator of the Clio time traveling technology, and others sympathetic to his goal, but a Special Forces captain no one trusts stands in the way.

The plan goes awry as the group struggles to overcome technical and human obstacles, leaving Rees and his team to fight their way through the bloody battlefields of history. One wrong move can derail the timeline and trap them forever in the past.

"Operation Ameliorate: A Clio Project Story" is available in paperback and Kindle formats on Amazon at https://amzn.to/3fOAUmd, and will be released on Audible as an audiobook in May 2021.
