TechnoServe Elects Imoni Akpofure to its Board of Directors

ARLINGTON, Va. - March 25, 2021 - PRLog -- International development nonprofit TechnoServe announced that Imoni Akpofure was elected to its board of directors earlier this month. Ms. Akpofure is an experienced finance and sustainability professional with 30 years of experience.

Ms. Akpofure has experience across a broad range of industries and regions and brings a deep understanding of sub-Saharan Africa. She spent a significant part of her career in development finance and recently served as Regional Director for Africa at CDC Group Plc, focusing on investments in West Africa and Lusophone Africa. Prior to joining CDC, she spent 18 years at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), rising to the rank of Director for Western Europe. Within the IFC, she also held senior positions within the Africa, Infrastructure, Environment and Social, and Global Manufacturing and Services departments.

Ms. Akpofure is currently a non-executive director of Guaranty Trust Bank Plc Nigeria, and Africa50, Morocco; she also serves on the Investment Committees of Africa50 and the Fund for Agricultural Finance in Nigeria (FAFIN). She holds an MBA from INSEAD, France, an MSc in Environmental Engineering from Newcastle University, UK, and a BEng in Civil Engineering from Imperial College, London.
