Follow on Google News | LoneStar Carbon Capture LLC Formed to Capture and Isolate Carbon DioxideSeveral Carbon Capture Projects are Underway in Parts of Texas
By: LoneStar Carbon Capture LLC "LSCC has brought together a group with over 100 years of combined experience in developing and operating CO2 injection wells", said Wade Ingle. "The collective expertise that LSCC brings together includes permitting and regulatory, geology, land acquisition, and the different engineering disciplines required to successfully drill, inject and monitor CO2 injection wells and construct and operate CO2 gathering systems. The projects underway include two sites and wells in West Texas in the Delaware Basin. One is located in the Orla area and one in the Waha area. These will provide carbon capture service to producers in the Permian. Other project locations and wells located in the Robstown and Ingleside areas near Corpus Christi, Texas will serve customers in the refinery and petrochemical industry. LSCC is currently in talks with a future petrochemical company looking to locate in Corpus Christi pending the ability to sequester CO2. The West Texas facilities will be able to sequester 5000 metric tons per day, and the Corpus area facilities will be able to sequester 10,000 metric tons per day. This total of 15,000 metric tons per day of CO2 is equal to the annual emission of over 1.1 million vehicles. The projects are expected to finish permitting and be on line by the end of 2023. "FEE has been serving the environmental needs for our clients for over 20 years", said Phil Mezey. "We are excited to partner with Wade and LSCC to provide not only the monitoring of greenhouse gas emissions, but to provide solutions to capture and sequester CO2 and other emissions." End
