Social jewelry startup unveils plans to launch line of storytelling 'compass necklaces'

WILMINGTON, N.C. - March 14, 2021 - PRLog -- A piece of jewelry is more than just personal adornment: Every bracelet, necklace, and ring has a story behind it.

One growing startup wanted to harness the power of storytelling through jewelry to help make the world a better place. So they introduced a unique way to celebrate life's journeys and the friends met along the way.

Compass Bracelets crafts jewelry that connects people through stories while inspiring kindness as each bracelet is passed along to others. The durable, eco-friendly bracelet made from recycled polyester rope, or rPET, contains a stainless steel tag with a unique compass number. Each engraved number is randomly generated and never replicated.

When a person purchases a Compass Bracelet, they then register the unique number engraved on the bracelet to begin its story and journey. The person would then wear the bracelet as a reminder to follow the heart as the greatest internal compass.

Eventually, the person would then choose to pass the bracelet along in an act of kindness, asking the next wearer to continue its journey. The original owner can track the bracelet's progress as it touches lives around the world. To accommodate sharing, all Compass Bracelets are adjustable to most wrist sizes, with a strong, magnetic-reinforced clasp.

In addition, each Compass Bracelet purchased helps a child find a forever home: For every bracelet sold, half of net profits are donated to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption (DTFA). DTFA is a national, nonprofit charity created by Wendy's® founder Dave Thomas to find permanent homes for the more than 150,000 children waiting in North America's foster care systems.
