GREENFIELD, Mass. - March 6, 2021 - PRLog -- Mark Lund, Executive Producer, Writer and Director, is pleased to announce that the world theatrical premiere of First Signal will take place on March 26, 2021 at the Greenfield Garden Cinemas in Greenfield, Mass. First Signal will have a one-week engagement at Greenfield Garden Cinemas as part of their reopening plan. At the time of this announcement First Signal has been an official selection of 27 film festivals, winning 16 including Best Feature, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Actor and Best Actress. First Signal - when Air Force Space Command receives a signal from an alien satellite in Earth orbit an emergency meeting with the President reveals a government conspiracy - represents the first installment in the First World Universe.

"I could not be more excited to premiere First Signal at the Greenfield Garden Cinemas. Theaters like Greenfield are vital to the ecosystem of independent film and the entertainment industry in general," said Lund. "While this past year was extremely difficult for countless industries, none was hit harder than theaters. When one considers the awareness theaters bring to a film along with their contribution to local economies, their survival insures one of America's greatest pastimes and traditions continues – the theatrical experience."

Built in 1929, the Greenfield Garden Cinemas is on the National Register of Historic Places and a Franklin County landmark.  In the center of the Cross Roads Cultural District, the 7 screen cinema is an anchor to downtown entertainment and dining. The Garden Cinemas has hosted other theatrical premieres including The Judge (2014) and The Man Who Killed Hitler and Then the Bigfoot (2018).

"We are in love with locally made film, featuring local landscapes and filmmakers.  We could not be more excited to relaunch the theater with an out of this world film, like First Signal," says Garden Cinemas owner Isaac Mass.

The First World Universe began over ten years ago when Lund wrote the screenplay First World. The origins of the story revolve around the Apollo space program and the discovery of an alien presence on Earth. With NASA and private space contractors planning a return to the Moon, extrasolar planets being discovered on a regular basis and new communication technologies on the horizon, the timing for First Signal could not be better. First Signal doesn't seek to answer the question if we are alone in the universe, but what would the world do if an alien presence was already here. The sequel to First Signal will be First Launch.

First Signal stars Paul Noonan (General John Reager), Conor Timmis (Cedric Yonah), Wendy Hartman (President Helen Colton), Patience McStravick (Major Ellen Sampson) and Stephanie Eaton (National Security Advisor Elisabeth Seward). Featuring Chris Goodwin (James Griffith), Michael Anthony Coppola (Senator Paul Hadrian), Lindy Nettleton (Prime Minister Allison Colby) and Yefim Somin (Russian President Sergei Tupolov). Secret Service Agents, David Afflick (Lead Agent), David Matthew Jenkins, Jeff Bouffard, Eli Ward and AJ Cvan.
