Biden on Trade: What Can Industry Expect from the New Administration

Senior Trade Advisor Todd Owen, former Executive Assistant Commissioner, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Office of Field Operations (OFO), Jennifer Diaz, President, and Sharath Patil, Associate of Diaz Trade Law, will present on trade relations under the Trump administration to the forecasted relations under the new Biden administration. The speakers will discuss how the industry is changing—and what industry needs to know to prepare for the future.
Owen will initiate a discussion regarding the effect of the shifting political landscape on the day-to-day operations of CBP trade priorities. The presenters will conclude with a forecast regarding what the industry needs to know about the future of trade.
The learning objectives of this webinar include an overview of Trump's trade policies—covering everything from USMCA to China to Vietnam to the E.U.; an analysis of the United States trade deficit under Trump; an overview of Biden's trade priorities; and a forecast of the types of Section 301 tariffs that industry can expect.
