Producers are Michele Barnes and Henry Turner Jr. Comments Henry Turner, Jr., "Right after the 2020 Baton Rouge Mardi Gras Festival the pandemic hit and most festivals were cancelled. Planning ahead I decided to produce a film and bring the fun and excitement of Mardi Gras to the virtual world. Footage from previous years existed, so I hope audiences enjoy this history." Henry Turner, Jr. is well known for developing a syncopated style of music that is referred to as Louisiana blues, soul, funk and reggae. Noted accomplishments include a Louisiana Music Ambassadorship from the Louisiana Office of Tourism, being named as an Honorary Louisiana Ambassador by the Lieutenant Governor's Office, receiving an Ambassador award from the Slim Harpo Music Awards and having Henry Turner, Jr. Day proclaimed in the city on October 28 in 2015 and 2018. Additional festivals include Ultimate Louisiana Party, Baton Rouge Soul Food and Henry Turner Jr. Day Music Festivals. Rebirth Film Shield Productions company's focus is to educate and uplift the world through film and music by bringing enlightening, inspiring and invigorating stories to the attention of the public that explore the rich history of Louisiana. It was founded in 2015 by Michele Barnes. Hit City Digital TV is an adjunct of Hit City Digital Records. Current film productions are "Music Dreams…An American Story," along with the labels' CD, "Now," by Henry Turner Jr. & Flavor that features two songs from the film, "I'm Going Down to the Mardi Gras," and the "Baton Rouge Theme Song." Play2Fund is a site built for musicians by musicians.
