-- Drs. Dallas and Debbie Stout have joined the Faculty of the University of Arizona's new, online Global Campus as Associate Online Faculty.
"The alliance announced between UA and Ashford will create new, exciting opportunities that promise to expand the reach of affordable, quality higher education. The synergies that follow the affiliation of UA, a premier research and teaching university with an innovative online university like Ashford will benefit students, faculty, and staff members of both institutions. We look forward to returning to our roots as a non-profit institution and becoming University of Arizona Global Campus" said Ashford President Craig D. Swenson, PhD. Ashford University traces its roots back over 100 years to Clinton, Iowa. The University of Arizona, founded in 1885, was the first university in the Arizona Territory.
The new Global Campus was formed after the University of Arizona purchased Ashford University where the Stouts had taught since the University of the Rockies merged with Ashford at the end of 2018. The Stouts had taught a variety of Psychology related Masters and Doctoral level courses online for the University of the Rockies since 2009 for Dallas and 2010 for Debbie. They also served on a variety of student Doctoral Dissertation Committees. The Stouts will continue to teach a variety of graduate courses in Clinical Psychology, Industrial Organizational Psychology and Human Services as well as Non-Profit Principles, Practices, Governance and Finance among other topics at University of Arizona's Global Campus.
The Stouts have been members of the faculty at California State University Fullerton since 2006 for Debbie and 2007 for Dallas. They teach a variety of Child Development, Psychology and Counseling courses at the undergrad and graduate level. Dr. Dallas Stout has been invited previously to teach at The University of California, Irvine at both the undergrad and graduate level. He holds a national certification in online class design and teaching from Quality Matters (QM). Both Stouts hold similar certifications from The California State University.
When not teaching at the University, the Stouts use their experience to assist a variety of non-profit programs in Southern California thru DoctorS Nonprofit Consulting which they co-founded in 2004. The Stouts have also served on the Board of Directors for a variety of local, Countywide and Statewide programs for a variety of social issues, mostly related to youth and he continues that service today.https://doctorsconsulting.org
