Bernadette van der Boom-Bebb BSC, MACP, CCC, Awarded National Bariatric Board Certification

VICTORIA, British Columbia - Nov. 12, 2020 - PRLog -- Bernadette van-der Boom-Bebb, BSC, MACP, CCC, a mental health professional from British Columbia, Canada, has been awarded National Board Certification by the American Association of Bariatric Counselors (AABC). After completing a specialized training and education program in bariatric science she was recently credentialed as a Board Certified Bariatric Counselor (CBC).

Bernadette's professional education and training in biochemistry/microbiology/chemistry led to a two-decade long career in the pharmaceutical industry. Her experience includes preclinical and clinical trial medication research. While working with psychiatrists she was inspired and realized that she wanted to pursue a mental health career. She returned to graduate school and completed a master's Psychology Program at Yorkville University in Canada and at the same time completed a fellowship with the American Association of Bariatric counselor.

Bernadette's training and education in both the physical and social sciences have provided her with a unique integrated biopsychosocial treatment approach.Her scholarship, professional experience and commitment to public health will further the AABC global mission of providing best practices in the care, treatment and prevention of obesity and related disorders.
