National Demolition Association Reimagines the Annual Convention to Keep Attendees Safe
Demolition New Orleans will include an expanded outdoor Live DEMOlition Event, with more opportunities and time to meet with suppliers and manufactures about their equipment on display. The event will also include an equipment safety and maintenance class, superintendent education, fast and furious education sessions and networking opportunities following social distance guidelines.
In an industry where personal connections are key, Demolition New Orleans will create a controlled environment where professionals can make connections and grow relationships in one location. Our priority is keeping attendees, speakers, exhibitors, and the communities they serve safe and protected. NDA staff will include GBAC-Trained Technicians who are cleaning professionals with the planning, knowledge and processes needed to respond to a biohazard crisis in the workplace.
Demolition New Orleans will follow local COVID-19 safety guidelines for all events. NDA will be enforcing the following precautions in addition to any local safety guidelines:
· Social distancing
· Enforced mask wearing
· Reduced capacity on shuttle buses
· Hand sanitizer at all events
· Regular cleaning of frequently touched surfaces
Demolition New Orleans will look and feel different in 2021, but we are continuing to prioritize safety and education to provide the demolition community with best practices and advanced opportunities.
"Since the onset of the pandemic, day in and day out, our members have been industry leaders implementing safety measures to keep their employees and communities safe," said NDA Executive Director, Jeff Lambert. "NDA will employ these leading best practices to ensure attendees have a safe and enjoyable experience. We look forward to hosting our members in New Orleans."
