COLUMBUS, Ohio - Nov. 10, 2020 - PRLog -- An escape performer who matches, or perhaps surpasses Houdini's daring feats is the illusionist extraordinaire Michael Griffin

In one particularly audacious act, he escapes from a Noose ('hangman'). Incredibly, but unsurprisingly, no other escape artist has ever dared attempt such a remarkably risky albeit brilliantly conceived performance - not even David Copperfield

Houdini ( is still referred to as the greatest magician who ever lived due to his many escapes. "If you are a teenager, you want self-liberation above all, and [he is] the perfect shining example," added Teller of Penn & Teller (Smithsonian magazine).

On witnessing Griffin's escape from the Hangman's Noose:
"I remember the first time I saw this, it was the first time I saw him, and I was amazed and shocked and in awe all at the same time, it was breath taking and a little nerve racking, it appeared that he was having a little trouble getting one of his hands free and I thought if he doesn't get it loose quick he is going out real quick but he finally got his hands free and climbed up on the beam where the noose was tied and took it from around his neck, what a rush, Michael Griffin ([...) is the best escape artist of this generation, you rock dude."

Houdini's Accolades may seem minimal in comparison with Copperfield's, but as with many escape artists such as Griffin, Penn & Teller, this does not suggest that their feats are any less extraordinary.  "If the audience asks, 'how the hell did he do that?' then the experiment was successful. I've exploited the efficiencies of your mind," Teller explained to wired magazine.

Escape artists are able to conduct their performances in full view using some of these techniques. While an Escapologist may add a unique stamp to his act, Houdini set the standard with the escape or die act, which remains the gold standard. Understanding the risk factor though is equally important for escape artists.

Accountability and Responsibility are necessary for the field. Also: Ability, Agility, and Adaptability are the cornerstones for ensuring longevity in the field. Humor, too, is necessary to entertain an audience.

Perhaps one day, Leading escape artists such as Griffin and Superior performers in the field may receive the highest recognition in both entertainment and science for providing not only awe and magic to thousands of people but also incredible insights into the human mind.
