UK Based Teer Coatings Ltd Wins Tender to Supply PVD Coating Systems to the United States Mint

DROITWICH SPA, U.K. - Nov. 3, 2020 - PRLog -- Bidding was completed through a competitive tender process, involving a 2-phase trial to compare and test coating performance from leading PVD suppliers.

Teer Coatings Ltd offered the Mint the latest generation of PVD coating system, the CF-800-4. This has been specifically customised for numismatic and proof coin operations and includes PlasMag™ Plus Magnetrons, enhanced ion cleaning, the latest generation HMI controls and a tailored die-jigging design.
At 228 years old the United States Mint has a rich history, including manufacturing locations in Philadelphia, San Francisco, West Point and Denver.
