New Cobalt 9905-MPx Card Provides Quad Path 3G/HD/SD, to Offer Multi-Input Support and Flexibility

Champaign, IL – October 8, 2020 – Cobalt® Digital, an industry-leading designer and manufacturer of award-winning edge devices for live video production and master control, and a founding partner in the openGear® initiative has announced the launch of its 9905-MPx 3G/HD/SD Quad-Path Up/Down/Cross Converter/Frame Sync, a next-generation advanced scaler/frame synchronizer for the openGear platform. The new card was developed in direct response to customer requests for one module that supports four independent signal paths.

Each independent path has 3D-LUT, ANC bridge (insert/extract Timecode Proc, CC Proc) UDX Up/Down/Cross Conversion, Frame Sync, Trouble Slate/Logo import/insert as standard – All economically priced.
The unit's independent up/down/cross convert scalers are specifically designed for broadcast video formats, with full ARC control suitable for conversions to or from 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios. Discrete AES and MADI audio embedding/routing/
Card control/monitoring is available via a DashBoard user interface or Cobalt's RESTful-based Reflex protocol. The 9905-MPx can be software-converted to a 4K Quad-Link Input SDM/2SI 4K UDX/Frame Sync card with an optional software license.
