NEW YORK - Sept. 15, 2020 - PRLog -- Jennifer Meyerowitz, Managing Director of Keen-Summit Capital Partners LLC, has been awarded the Outstanding Individual Contribution Award from the Turnaround Management Association (TMA). This honor recognizes dedicated individuals that complement professional pursuits with volunteerism, who raise the awareness and stature of the corporate restructuring industry and TMA.

Long active in TMA and other professional organizations, Ms. Meyerowitz is known for her considerable networking skills and collegiality but also her dedication to mentoring other industry professionals. "I'm privileged to be part of a dynamic industry that is helping companies during these unprecedented times," she said, "but also to be able to help others advance professionally  – whether it be sharing business acquisition skills while maintaining the all-important life-work balance, connecting industry professionals to close a deal, or advising on presentation and leadership skills."

Among her many contributions to TMA, she's been actively involved with TMA's Network of Women (TMA NOW). From 2018 - 2020, she was its co-chair and made significant changes in the composition and implementation of the NOW Committee. "I'm hoping that more women will rise to leadership ranks in our industry," she said.

At Keen-Summit, Ms. Meyerowitz, who is based in Atlanta, is responsible for business development, marketing, strategy, and project management, and focuses on real estate dispositions, lease modifications and terminations and corporate finance engagements for her clients. Nowadays, she says she's spending considerable time assisting distressed companies with their lease portfolios, and achieving cost savings for her tenant clients by negotiating lease accommodations, rent reductions, and early terminations. "Frankly, communication between parties is key," she observes. "Tenants or lessees who ignore this will quickly discover that landlords are less willing to work out a deal. In this pandemic and in all times of distress, lines of communication must be open; that's critical."

Harold Bordwin, Keen-Summit's Principal and Managing Director, praised Ms. Meyerowitz:  "We are very excited that the industry has recognized Jennifer and her incredible work, both inside the office and out. She is a true asset to our team, and we are very proud of her accomplishments."

According to the TMA, winners of the Outstanding Individual Contribution Award have made significant contributions to the organization over many years, and have a long history of industry experience. Ms. Meyerowitz currently serves on TMA's Global Board, is a former Chair of the International Women's Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC), Board member of American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI), past Chair of its Southeastern Bankruptcy Workshop, Board Member of the Association of Insolvency & Restructuring Advisors (AIRA), and past Chair of the Bankruptcy Section of the Atlanta Bar.
