PRLog -- The inaugural performance of Mosaic Harmony's 28th Anniversary Season, will be virtually as a part of the opening ceremony of the 15th Annual Interfaith Unity Walk ("Walk") on Sunday, September 13, 2020. The Walk is scheduled to begin at 12:30pm and run until 5:30 pm and, due to the pandemic this year, the Walk will take place virtually. The Walk gives participants an opportunity to visit houses of worship and faith centers from Baha'i to Zoroastrian, participate in meaningful dialogue, learn a new recipe from a local chef, and partake in service projects. The Walk, organized by the Interfaith Conference of Metropolitan Washington ("ICMW"), is a signature event attended by thousands each year in Washington DC and the surrounding suburbs. This year, registration is required to attend and the entire Walk is free and open to all. Please note, there is a suggested donation of $25 for adults and $10 for children, seniors and those of limited income.
This performance marks the fifth year that the choir has been a participant on the ICMW's annual event. Mosaic Harmony first performed at the Unity Walk in 2014 in front of the Islamic Center on Massachusetts Avenue NW and was invited to return in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 to perform at the closing ceremony.
"Performing at this event is one of the best ways to kick off our season. We have partnered with ICMW on several community events and this is one that we really look forward to each year" notes director David K. North, who is celebrating his 23
rd season as director of the group.
For over 25 years, Mosaic Harmony has served as an interfaith community choir where people find long lasting friendships, love and acceptance regardless of color, religion, sexual orientation, or any other differences. We celebrate diversity and inclusiveness, sharing our message through the powerful medium of song, and inspiring our audiences to embrace ALL people.
Mosaic Harmony's concerts are high-energy, inspiring performances that leave audiences feeling uplifted and encouraged. Music performed by the choir includes traditional and contemporary gospel to new music written by its dynamic and talented director, the Rev. David K. North. Mosaic Harmony draws on the rich heritage of African American inspirational music to demonstrate and encourage unity in the midst of diversity. Mosaic Harmony brings together people of diverse cultures, ages, backgrounds, and multiple faith traditions to celebrate humanity. For more information on Mosaic Harmony please visit
