Prospective Students Given Newcastle College Insight During Virtual Open Day

NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE, U.K. - June 17, 2020 - PRLog -- Students had the opportunity to delve into college life when Newcastle College held a Virtual Open Event on Wednesday, 3^rd June.

A 3D exhibition provided insights to learners who are weighing up their September options, as Newcastle College's usual Open Day had to be transformed owing to its Covid-19 enforced closure.

More than 450 people attended the virtual event as tutors provided advice on courses available, campus life, and any concerns students and parents wished to discuss.

Tony Lewin, Principal of Newcastle College said: "Our first Virtual Open Event was a huge success. While we aren't able to welcome visitors through our doors for the time being, we really wanted to find a way to showcase what Newcastle College has to offer, whether you're looking for a college course, an adult course, degree, or apprenticeship.

"It was fantastic to see that so many people are still planning for their next steps and considering taking those steps with Newcastle College. Making decisions about your future can be daunting at any time, so I'm glad that we were able to offer support, guidance, and reassurance that we are still going to be here in September and we will still be offering a great experience."

During the five-hour event, financial and study support options were also available to those who logged onto the VFairs platform.
