The Lady Chapter, Inc. Empowers Young Adult Women through Dynamic Learning Experiences

CROFTON, Md. - June 11, 2020 - PRLog -- The Lady Chapter, Inc--a DC Metro-based nonprofit, faith-based organization with a mission to serve, train, coach, mentor, and educate young adult women (ages 24-37)-- is hosting its first Ceremony of Completion on Saturday, June 13 at 11 a.m. (eastern) via an online platform.

The young adult women who were selected into the application-based, 2020 The Lady Chapter Mentorship Program (TLCMP), engaged in a 10-month curriculum that focused on improving their leadership capacity, life skills competencies, social engagement, and self-awareness. The programming included sessions with various presenters and discussion topics which included: financial integrity; women's health; social media ethics; career and estate planning; law enforcement advocacy; and, one-on-one coaching sessions. The women were also involved in community engagement to gain exposure to global cultures. Following Saturday's ceremony, TLCMP participants will become part of the active alumnae group where they will serve as program ambassadors, sharing pivotal moments from their experience with future cohorts.

"At first glance, I wasn't aware that the same level of dedication and grit required of you in this program, would be necessary for life's next journey," said Rasheedah, a member of the inaugural cohort.

When asked how she was personally impacted as a program participant, Angela responded, "I've had the opportunity to grow individually and collectively in sisterhood with my TLC sisters. We've planned fun outings together, held each other accountable with our homework, inspired each other, and participated in community service events,"  Nadia added that she came into the program with one goal in mind, but said she, "Also increased my knowledge on leadership, finances, my health, and developed great relationships."

In addition to the curriculum, TLCMP offers program participants a free robust experience inclusive of workshops, leadership forums, mentoring sessions, and other activities intentionally designed to foster an enhanced whole-person development. As the organization continues to grow its offerings to cohort participants, donations are encouraged to help the young adult women with their travel, and other skill-building initiatives provided through The Lady Chapter, Inc.
