Mylan Pharma automates and optimizes its business processes by implementing a corporate portal

A newly implemented corporate portal connected hundreds of employees of Mylan Pharma's Russian branch, part of Mylan international group, one of the top 50 leading international pharmaceutical companies. Now the system is deployed in 42 cities.

LONDON - May 22, 2020 - PRLog -- In 2016 the company started to develop a corporate portal with ECM and ERP systems capabilities. Today Mylan Pharma has dozens of offices all over Russia, and it has become necessary to organize a user-friendly work space for employees from 11 hour zones and to ensure properly structured storage of corporate documentation. The project's main goals were to provide company management with flexible analytical tools to control budgeting process and cash outflow, to fasten approval process and to improve document flow control.

In 2017 the company started cooperating with Digital Design, one of the leading Russian IT developers, and by that time the base portal functionality was partly implemented. At the first stage of collaboration the base and additional functionality of portal have been introduced and business processes have been updated. One of the reasons for modification was internal processes transformation due to company's affiliation to Mylan group. Mylan introduced new business needs, tasks and standards in the organization and it was necessary to implement them to the system.

One of the project's main results was establishing a full end-to-end document flow process from approving annual budget to signing contracts for expenses execution and adding invoices to the system. The portal also includes advance reports, business trips approval, products ordering, supplier selection and other modules. As part of the portal development project, Digital Design specialists also implemented the module of marketing activities analytics.

Digital Design specialists paid special attention to developing a user experience-based portal interface and to transforming the system into an easy-to-use tool for employees. Also, document templates were developed for the system.
