Legal Services Expands to Help with Unemployment
Now offering assistance to those needing to access unemployment benefits
By: Legal Services of Eastern Missouri
In response to this overwhelming need for assistance, Legal Services of Eastern Missouri has expanded its services to help people with the unemployment benefits application process.
"Beginning, May 11th people can call for help submitting unemployment applications, responding to denials of benefits and to get general questions answered," said Dan Glazier, Executive Director and General Counsel of Legal Services of Eastern Missouri. "We have always helped with unemployment appeals and other issues, but during this COVID-19 crisis we are expanding our services to help more people gain access to the benefits they need." Glazier noted. In these difficult times, Legal Services is also providing assistance with applications for food stamps and helping with landlord-tenant disputes, access to healthcare coverage and other non-criminal legal matters.
