Post-Coronavirus: UK Holidays Predicted to Boom

New research suggests that Brits are planning to staycation after lockdown restrictions are lifted.

YORK, U.K. - April 28, 2020 - PRLog -- A new holiday report issued today by log cabin holiday specialist CabinBookers shows that 90% of UK holiday makers are planning to take a domestic holiday once coronavirus restrictions are lifted.

The choice of British destinations is directly linked to the covid-19 pandemic. 8 in 10 people said their appreciation for UK beauty spots had increased while under lockdown, and 44% admitted that their holiday budget was more limited due to the financial impact of the crisis.

Continuing concerns regarding airplane carbon emissions are also encouraging UK breaks. 66% of respondents stated that they limited foreign travel due to this issue.

In other findings, 86% of people intended to have a countryside holiday rather than a city break, with more than 9 in 10 saying that natural surroundings helped improve their mental well-being.

The CabinBookers 2020 UK Holiday Survey was conducted in April 2020. 581 UK based respondents were included in the final analysis.
