Morgan Stanley's Carla Harris To Appear At QuarantineCon Virtual Career Fair Powered By Jopwell

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - April 27, 2020 - PRLog -- There have been many questions about student life during COVID-19, specifically for graduating seniors. QuarantineCon and Jopwell have an opportunity for those students who would be in spring post-graduate preparation right now. On April 30, the "Virtual Career Fair" will bring experts, recruiters, and trailblazers to students at 5:00pm(CST).

"We aren't too far removed in age from real-world-hopefuls!" said Scooter Taylor, co-founder of QuarantineCon. "I'm eager to see how our mission to help people learn, partner and connect from the comfort of their homes uniquely impacts these students."

As a leading career advancement platform for Black, Latinx, and Native American job seekers, Jopwell is uniquely positioned to create community around networking and exposure for their members. The event will center on a fireside chat led by Taylor with Carla Harris, vice chairman of Morgan Stanley. Also featured on the main stage will be Nadia Abouzaid, head of Recruitment at Jopwell, who will speak to "Navigating Today's Job Market."

After the fireside chats, attendees will attend workshop sessions to obtain tangible advice related to career development. Desiree Booker, career strategist at ColorVizion Lab, will lead "How To Launch A Successful Job Search During COVID-19," and the Jopwell Recruitment team will lead other sessions including, "Resume Dos and Don'ts" and "Cold Outreach 101."

The event will also feature an employer expo with Jopwell partners, including Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan & Chase Co., Bloomberg, NBCUniversal, Honey, Livongo, and American Express. Attendees will be able to engage with recruiters via live stream, express interest in open roles, and learn about careers at participating companies. Their resumes will also be uploaded to the official Attendee Resume Book.

Designed to provide attendees with exclusive access to participating Jopwell partners, attendees will receive real-time networking opportunities, and gain exclusive offers and content. This event is primarily for college students seeking internships, and early professionals seeking full-time roles.
