Ahmadiyya Women's Auxiliary partners with Humanity First For Masks

WASHINGTON - April 20, 2020 - PRLog -- Humanity First USA and Ahmadiyya Muslim Women's Auxiliary (AMWA) USA are collaborating on a national level to launch the "Make-A-Mask" Campaign. This 'sew-at-home' initiative of non-surgical face masks is a response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the CDC's latest recommendation that everyone should try to wear masks in public.

Currently, we are facing an unprecedented global situation. Most of us are making an effort to mitigate the fallout from this virus. We're working from home, we're self-isolating, we're staying indoors and increasing our hand washing. However, we need to think about the front line workers; the doctors, the nurses, the paramedics and people providing us essential goods and services. We need to find further ways to protect ourselves so we can protect them. Keeping this in mind we have partnered with AMWA who have a robust organizational structure within the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.

AMWA consists of local branches linked with regional and national management. This women's network is present in almost every major city of the United States. They have always been at the forefront in serving humanity with many local humanitarian relief efforts. The masks made by AMWA will be distributed to people in dire need around the nation. This will include front line workers, essential workers, elderly and immune compromised who are in need of PPE.
