Import foreign goods with permanent residency in Argentina

CAPITAL FEDERAL, Argentina - April 13, 2020 - PRLog -- In order to import foreign goods from people who obtain permanent residence in the Argentine Republic, it is necessary to follow a series of steps. The agencies in charge of the import process are the Federal Administration of Public Revenue (AFIP), the entity in charge of taxation, and the General Directorate of Customs. AFIP´s General Resolution 3109 establishes the requirements for the importation of goods that can only be carried out once every seven years. In order to enter a car into Argentina, it is necessary to be over 18 (eighteen) years old, and only one car per person is allowed, and it must be used and registered in the name of the interested party. The meaning of an automobile must be the vehicle for the transport of people of up to eight seats (excluding the driver) with four or more wheels, and those with three wheels that exceed a thousand kg of weight.
