"Doc" Kern was a major in the US Air Force, trained at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota as a surgeon and Professor of Rhinology and Facial Plastic Surgery for 33 years. Currently teaching Nasal, Sinus and Facial Surgery at University at Buffalo, Dr. Kern is a respected educator, contributed greatly to the understanding of rhinologic diseases and a recipient of the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the Mayo Clinic.
