Inaction speaks louder than words
Small business owner and candidate for Select Board is embarrassed by the public disrespect towards the Town of Reading's first responders.
By: Carlo Bacci for Select Board
"We all make mistakes, but this was more than a mistake last night." It was noted one Select Board member John Halsey has been the public safety liaison for his entire 2 terms. Last night was his last Select Board meeting as he's decided to retire. The general consensus was he should be allowed to vote, however with a motive to delay until after the election, that would be made impossible. "I was glad to hear Anne Landry speak on John's behalf and urge the Board to make this the 'highest priority' and be voted on before the election."
The Reading Police Officers work to maintain a safe community, the inaction of appointing a Police Chief is hindering and causing stress to the Police force.
There's no place for petty politics in Town Government.
"I have been using #localmatters from day 1 when I decided to run for the highest elected office in our town. I urge you to go and use your voice for this local election because every vote counts and all politics is local. Please vote for me Carlo Bacci on March 3, 2020.
