-- Annapolis Shakespeare Company (ASC) is excited to announce a new phase in its growth; the expansion of our production facilities in our current location at 1804 West Street. The additional 1,700 sq. ft. in the rear of the adjacent suite, will be used for a scene shop, costume shop, in-house laundry facility, loading dock, expanded dressing rooms with actor bathrooms, and additional parking.
This expansion will coincide with the second half of our 2019-2020 Season, which opens with "39 Steps" (Feb. 14-March 8)
, a brisk transformative romp in a send-up of Hitchcock's Hollywood classic. This will be followed by the Broadway revival of "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown" (March 27- April 19)
. For the final spring show, Sally Boyett and Donald Hicken are again collaborating to create a world-premiere adaptation of- Robert Lewis Stevenson's enduring classic "Treasure Island" (May 15-June 21).
During the summer, the theater will present their eighth season of Comedy in the Courtyard at Reynolds Tavern, with the hilarious work "Shakespeare's Long Lost First Play (Abridged
)"(May 26-Sept. 8)
and their epic production of "A Midsummer Night's Dream" (July 9-26)
presented over three weeks in July 2020 in an intimate outdoor setting.
