Follow on Google News | Galaxy Note 20 to Feature 120Hz Screen Refresh RateBy: Netweeks Although we won't be getting Galaxy Note 20 anytime soon, the serial leaker has claimed that the smartphone will feature a 'more fine-tuned 120Hz refresh rate technology'. While we will have to wait to find out more about the smartphone in future, the 120Hz refresh rate could be significant for the smartphone. As you might already know, Samsung's Galaxy Note series features smartphones with larger screen with its advanced S Pen stylus. Since the devices in the series feature larger screen real state, the 120Hz refresh rate can dramatically improve users' experience with the phone. In case you didn't know, refresh rate refers to the idea of how often picture on a screen refreshes itself and is replaced by new information. The higher the refresh rate of a screen, the smoother everything looks when using it. For instance, a lower refresh rate on smartphone results in lags as the screen fails to keep up with users' interactions with their devices. While most of the modern smartphones currently feature 60Hz refresh rate, several smartphone manufacturers have introduced devices with higher refresh rate. However, the higher screen refresh rate hasn't been the most prominent feature of these devices. While we will have to wait to find out more about Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy S20, which is set to debut later next week, won't feature the 120Hz screen. As we are still months away from getting our glimpse into the Galaxy Note 20, more details regarding the upcoming smartphone are likely to come out on a regular basis.
