Chef Irie Spreads Thankful Cheer to Families at the LA Lee YMCA

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Dec. 3, 2019 - PRLog -- The season of giving is upon us and none other than local celebrity Chef, Hugh Sinclair, kicked off his season of giving with Thanksgiving care baskets for 10 families selected by the L.A. Lee YMCA. Every holiday, Chef Irie makes his rounds providing families with turkeys and all the trimmings made for a bountiful Thanksgiving family feast.

This year's recipients were made whole with support and sponsorship from Grace Foods, Broward Meat & Fish Company and Bedessee West Indian Supermarket in Lauderhill. Families showed up ready for their bounty and had nothing but gratefulness in their hearts. "I am always overwhelmed and humbled when I see how the little things, we take for granted, mean so much for the families we serve," said Chef Irie. "I could do this every day! Giving never gets old, you cannot imagine the joyful feeling you get when you see a child and their mom filled with gratitude just because someone cared enough to make a difference in their lives," he concluded.

In addition to a special gift basket from Grace Foods, the families were treated to turkeys, rice, cookies, cranberry sauce, beverages and all the trimmings and seasoning needed to prepare the perfect meal and more. It goes without say, that they were overwhelmed and thankful for the gifts they received this Thanksgiving Eve.

L.A. Lee Family Services Director, Sharon Hughes was overwhelmed by the families' reactions. "Words cannot express my gratitude for Chef Irie's selfless deed. These families were able to enjoy an amazing Thanksgiving meal because someone cared enough to make them their priority. Thanks to the generosity of Chef Irie and his sponsors, this Thanksgiving is one these families won't soon forget. It truly was a Thanksgiving blessing," said Hughes.

Chef Irie is a personal chef who lives and services South Florida but will travel upon request. His catering service has served many local and international celebrities.
