NEW YORK - Nov. 21, 2019 - PRLog -- iTS (inTheSmart) Co. Ltd., a medical device company specializing in high-tech medical equipment based in South Korea, has been featured on the Digital Innovators episode filmed inside NASDAQ studios in New York. The executive team consisting of Founder and CEO and Dr. Choonghee Lee, CEO for USA Jee Seon Lee, and Director Eddy Kim spoke with David Drake, Chairman of LDJ Capital and host of Digital Innovators show.

iTS (inTheSmart) introduced their patented endoscopic fluorescence imaging system where the endoscope utilizes a fluorescent, Near-Infrared light that highlights the veins, vessels, and even identify tumors inside the body in a real time feed and with high quality imaging.

inTheSmart CEO Dr. Choonghee Lee, an alumnus of the Seoul National University (SNU), noted, "The Korean medical device industry is very low, but the Korean doctors' clinical skills are very high and in line with the global level. There's a mismatch on clinical technology and medical industry." It is a gap that iTS aims to bridge with their company leadership in medical equipment innovations.

According to CEO Dr. Choonghee Lee, inTheSmart was the first ever medical device company to receive funding from the Seoul National University Hospital (SNUH) and have secured the access to data on SNUH's 130,000 health check cases.

CEO for USA Jee Seon Lee highlighted the real time image feedback from their device. "First of all, this device can be applied in all kinds of division and category of surgeries. Our product has no minimal recording time so we provide real time and visible imaging to the surgeons," said Ms. Lee.

LDJ Capital Chairman David Drake noted how iTS device provides superior visualization and can be used for learning purposes, "On the social media front, doctors like showing their procedures with other doctors. The endoscopic imaging system is like the Twitch streaming app where the doctors can teach how they execute their procedures and build their brands as doctors," said Drake.

For the company's growth and expansion plans, Director Eddy Kim said, "We're excited to bring this technology over to the US. Currently, we have a JV with China in the works. We want to bring iTS into US where we could co-partner with some of the biggest hospitals like Cedar Sinai or even a joint venture with Johns Hopkins."
