The Bear Creek School Hosts How to Foster a Love of Writing in Your Child

REDMOND, Wash. - Nov. 4, 2019 - PRLog -- Writing is a powerful form of communication, and we want our children to experience being a writer as part of their identity, just as being a speaker and a reader are a part of who they are. Join us as Margaret Harrison, grade 3 teacher at The Bear Creek School, will share ways to create a home environment that fosters a passion for writing in your children, so they can be great communicators, expressing themselves and their unique ideas in compelling written form.

Margaret Harrison loves teaching at Bear Creek because she may initiate faith-based conversations, pray with her students, and grow in relationship with God alongside her students and colleagues. Some of her favorite hobbies include hiking, rock climbing, reading, and traveling. She has lived in Sweden, China, and Greece and has traveled throughout Europe as well. Margaret holds a B.A. Elementary Education from Central Washington University and an M.Ed. Elementary Education with a specialization in ESOL from Western Oregon University.

Bear Creek is excited to host Tools for Success: How to Foster a Love of Writing in Your Child on Thursday, November 14, 2019, at our Redmond Campus Main building (8905 208th Avenue NE, Redmond, WA). Doors open at 8:30 a.m. for coffee and refreshments, and the presentation begins at 9:00 a.m. This seminar is free and open to the public. Register online at https://www.tbcs.org/success.
