404 is Growing Professional Rugby from the Ground Up
The development team is preparing rugby's future players and coaches for Rugby ATL
By: Rugby ATL
The development team is committed to providing high-performance education through its play, practice and community engagement. Program Director Cam Wyper plans to capitalize on his international, professional, and collegiate coaching experience to enhance the principles and core skills of the game.
"Our mission at 404 is to produce future players and coaches that can represent the Southeast region and the United States on the highest international stages, " said Wyper. "We may be the newest team, but we will strive every day to become the best on and off the field and in the community."
The design of the development team is guided by core values known as P.A.C.E. These values introduce and influence crucial aspects of Personal development such as being Accountable serving as beacons for Change and understanding the importance of follow-through or Execution. 404's development approach will provide systematic and progressive educational initiatives that ensure all players are consistent and have a long-term view within the franchise.
"We are more than players and staff from a rugby team," said Rugby ATL's Head Coach Scott Lawrence. "We are ambassadors for the City of Atlanta, and we take that responsibility seriously."
The team is partnering with Life University, CRUNCH Fitness, Sellers Law Firm and GroupHousing during its inaugural season.
Rugby ATL will gear up their inaugural season on Feb. 9, 2020, versus the Utah Warriors at Life University's Lupo Family Field in Marietta. For more information and tickets for 404 and Rugby ATL, please visit www.404rugby.com and www.rugbyatl.rugby.
