By: Fort Point Theatre Channel For the past several months, FPTC and its partners – Artists' Theatre of Boston, The House of Escada, Luminarium Dance Company, OrigiNation Cultural Arts Center, and Petrichor – have been using a variety of artistic and performance approaches to develop short succinct presentations that draw from monumental themes that all have a place in Shakespeare's The Tempest. This collaborative effort has not been shy about tackling the consequences of colonialism, racism, gender stereotypes, immigration, and climate change. Tempest Reconfigured has been funded in part by a Live Arts Boston grant from the Boston Foundation.
