Home Invasion, a novel in stories, looks at two generations of the Batch family over forty years, and the ways in which alcohol, petty crime, poor parenting, and bad choices have had a negative impact on them.

Patricia Abbott is the author Anthony and Macavity-nominated Concrete Angel, the Anthony and Edgar-nominated Shot in Detroit, and the collection of stories I Bring Sorrow. More than 150 of her stories have been published. She lives outside Detroit.
