One Million Pound Care Home Refurbishment Complete

MALPAS, U.K. - Sept. 30, 2019 - PRLog -- Celebrating in style, residents, family and friends were invited to an expertly created afternoon tea by the home's award winning chef, Paul Wright, in the newly decorated and furnished residents' dining room.

Freshly prepared cucumber sandwiches and cream cakes were served with prosecco in the elegant setting of the dining room which now resembles that of a five star hotel rather than what you might expect form a care home.

The dining room is just one aspect of the huge investment made into improving the facilities on offer at Prospect House. The residents' main lounge now benefits from a beautiful glazed conservatory, which opens directly onto the residents' large courtyard garden area. The residents' lounge in the specialist dementia care area now benefits from a conservatory, which also opens onto its own dedicated courtyard garden area for dementia residents and their families to enjoy.

Following consultation with a professional catering consultancy team the kitchen has now been extended into a fully professional catering kitchen and complements the much larger dining room, which was developed in consultation with the home's in-house Chef, Regional Care Home Chef of the Year finalist, creating a true five star restaurant experience for residents.

In addition five new luxury bedrooms with fully en-suite wet rooms, a new assisted bathroom adding to the existing bathing facilities available on site, and a dedicated hairdressing salon for use by the home's on-site hairdresser has also been added to the plethora of new and refurbished facilities.

Sharon Dodds, registered manager at Prospect House Care Home says: "Through consultation with family and friends we asked how could we improve our facilities for the benefit of our residents. In response to the feedback received we set about an 18 month programme of development to enhance our residents quality of life and experience of living at Prospect House.
