Alan Merrill to Perform Hits from His New Album on the GingerNewYork TV Show in NYC

NEW YORK - Aug. 5, 2019 - PRLog -- Alan Merrill: was the lead singer and songwriter of the first and original 1975 version of "I Love Rock N Roll" with his band, The Arrows. The song has become an enduring international rock anthem, recorded by Joan Jett, Britney Spears, and many others. Joan Jett saw Merrill perform the song on a British television pop show in '76, while on tour with her band, The Runaways, and she was deeply inspired. Her 1982 version of the song was #1 for 8 weeks in the USA.

Alan Merrill has been frequently touring Japan, England and Europe in recent years. After living most of his adult life abroad, Alan currently resides in his place of birth - New York City.

In 2019, Alan Merrill released his new solo album "Radio Zero".  Recorded at Jon Gordon's studio in the Shelter Island complex in Manhattan. All instruments and lead vocals by Alan Merrill, percussion by Jon Gordon and high vocal harmonies by Amy Madden. Videos were filmed, produced and directed by Rie Mukai.  Alan Merrill has also written a brand new song that's being covered by a UK glam rock icon.
