AKCP Monitors Cold Storage for Naivas

Naivas, Kenya's largest supermarket and online grocery delivery service, selected AKCP Wireless LoRa™ based monitoring system for quality control temperature and humidity monitoring of their cold storage environment.
NAIROBI, Kenya - July 31, 2019 - PRLog -- The sensors are Installed at the Naivas Beef Butchery, cold storage and dispatch areas the AKCP L-DCIM provided centralized monitoring, graphing and alerting. LBTH, LoRa™ Battery-powered dual temperature and humidity sensors were deployed in key areas for the monitoring of the correct temperatures during meat processing, packing and dispatch. Easy installation with no communication cables or power required. Expansion to other areas of the building after the initial trial period was simple, by deploying additional LBTH sensors.

LoRa™ technology was ideal for their installation, allowing for easy, wire free installation of the sensors in cold storage rooms, rapid deployment and low cost of implementation were key factors in selecting to use LoRa™ based sensors. AKCP sensors have specifically implemented algorithms that improve on the standard LoRa™ protocol, including listen before talk, acknowledgements and queuing of undelivered messages.

The project was done in conjunction with our dealer in Kenya, BSA (www.bsa.co.ke)
